Baby born in hospital elevator
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas newborn could be well equipped to face the ups and downs of life: She was born in a hospital elevator.

Alyssa Lynn Leming arrived Friday as her parents rushed through the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, some 50 miles west of Kansas City.

Crystal Leming says it took just an hour from the onset of severe contractions to the birth of the 5-pound, 11-ounce girl whom they have nicknamed Ellee for her unusual arrival.

Mob Experience to open at Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A new attraction on the Las Vegas Strip gives visitors a glimpse into the origin and rise of mobs in Sin City.

It features possessions and home movies from some of organized crime’s most famous figures, including Meyer Lansky’s diary and cars belonging to Bugsy Siegel.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Las Vegas Mob Experience at the Tropicana hotel and casino will open to the public March 1.
