Washington, D.C., is a city of monuments and memorials. There are more than 100 sites in our nation’s capital.

Let us pay tribute to more than 3 million living disabled veterans. We need a statue here to honor the disabled veterans.

Willie the Drummer Boy has been standing at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza for seven years or more. The public doesn’t realize that Willie the Drummer Boy is not a veteran. Let’s eliminate him and put up a statue of a disabled veteran, as the disabled veterans continue to make sacrifices.

Our disabled veterans deserve a statue where citizens respect and appreciate their service.
