A lawyer representing the woman who claims she was raped by a music producer in his Newhall home in January said Monday that several women have claimed similar sexual assaults in other states since a civil lawsuit was filed earlier this month.

The civil complaint was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Central Branch against Newhall resident Noel “Detail” Fisher.

The woman is seeking unspecified punitive damages for emotional distress and lost wages as a result of the alleged assault.

“Look at successful rappers and producers,” said David Diamond, the woman’s attorney. “Those with criminal records haven’t had their careers hindered at all. They would feel the hurt more in their wallet as opposed to wearing a prison jumpsuit.”

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station detectives investigating the case did not return phone messages Monday.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has not filed criminal charges against Fisher.

Fisher is accused of raping a woman who was hired to cater a party at his home on the 24900 block of Wheeler Road the night of Jan. 29, according to the complaint.

After the party, Fisher allegedly asked the woman to stay at his home to celebrate with other guests.

Later, Fisher and the woman began arguing after she refused his sexual advances, according to the complaint.

Fisher is accused of ripping off the woman’s clothing, locking her in a room and sexually assaulting her, the complaint states.

“This is not about money for my client,” Diamond said. “That’s why we didn’t list any specific damages in the complaint. We thought it was beneficial to let Mr. Fisher know that his conduct was not acceptable on any level.”
