The front page newspaper story on "How to Get Around during the Amgen Tour" made no mention of the best way to get around ... on your bike!

Come to the event on your bike, via the roads or trail system, then park your bike at the free Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition Bike Valet, located at the mall off Market Street, South of Town Center Drive, behind Glen Ivy Spa. We will watch your bike for FREE while you enjoy the event.

While there, pick up a flyer and learn how the 1000+ member non-profit works to improve bike safety and bike-riding opportunities county-wide.

At all times, cyclists need to remember the rules of the road, and pay particular attention at intersections, where most accidents occur. Car drivers need to give bikers a little extra room when passing, and also watch for bikes at intersections and trail crossings. Every cyclist is someone's husband, wife, parent or child.

Stop by the Bike Valet or our booth at Rock the Bike. Learn how LACBC works for cyclists on issues like legislation, trails, regional planning, to road widening, and police and public official education.

Visit for more. We will also have a Bike Valet at the Rose Bowl for the Sunday event. Ride on over and enjoy the weekend!
