Responding to an interest expressed by members of the SCV Chamber of Commerce, the organization is launching another professional business group.

The Women’s Professional Network is being formed based on members expressing an interest in having a place to go where they could specifically address professional business issues that pertained to them as female owners of local companies, said Terri Kingery Crain, president and CEO of the Chamber.

Beginning July 8, the first group of professional business women is meeting to form the groundwork and objectives for the group. Diana Meyer, president of Meyer Marketing Intelligence Inc. is assisting the Chamber in laying the framework to get the group started.

“By member request the Chamber is proud to be fulfilling a member need,” said Crain. “We are forming a Women’s Professional Network. The program gives professional women business owners an opportunity to share ideas, strategies and challenges that they face in an informal setting.”

The professional business group meets monthly and is expected to have 12 to 15 core business leaders and members participating.

The first meeting is July 8 at 8 a.m. in the SCV Chamber of Commerce office. Interested members may contact the chamber president for more information at
