Morning commuters experienced delays today when a car broke down in the fast lane of a transition road connecting southbound Interstate 5 with northbound Highway 14 in the Newhall Pass.

The fast lane became the slow lane and, by 8:29 a.m. became the stopped lane.

At about 8:15 a.m., paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department found a car facing the wrong direction in the fast lane on the connecting stretch of road.

No one was reported injured and no one taken to the hospital, according to a spokesman of the California Highway Patrol.

By 8:30 a.m., traffic became completely stopped on the car-saddled transition road, but within 20 minutes the car obstructing traffic was moved to the shoulder, allowing traffic to resume, CHP confirmed.
