Stay Green Inc. is holding its fourth annual employee-appreciation carnival at Saugus Speedway on Sept. 24.

While past events included renting out parks and holding daytime picnics, the company switched gears this year and decided to hold an evening event, avoiding the high daytime temperatures that often linger into late September.

“The employees are out in the heat 24/7,” said Bronwyn Sorenson, municipal accounts coordinator with Stay Green. “We wanted to thank everyone for their hard work.”

The carnival-themed event will include carnival rides, food, music and a DJ, said Cynthia Lopez, purchasing specialist with Stay Green.

“We leased Saugus Speedway and hired a company to bring in the rides,” Lopez said.

Stay Green expects 400 to 450 employees and family members to attend. Employees with the company for five or more years also will receive service awards.

Vendors of the full-service landscaping business are invited to participate. Marketing booths and event sponsors are also available for anyone wishing to promote their businesses.

Stay Green has been in business for more than 40 years, and is growing every year, Sorenson said.

“We try to use all the Santa Clarita venues,” Lopez said. “We live and work here, and want to support local event locations and organizations.”

Businesses interested in serving as sponsors or promoting their business at the event may contact Cynthia Lopez at (661) 291-2800 ext. 106 or email her at
