Letter: Divided GOP leaves room for Dems to win

A A A

Recently, the California Republican Assembly declined to endorse the two Republican candidates running for the Saugus Union School District. Both Stephen Samuel Winkler and Rose Diaz are running against a Democrat.

The CRA’s lack of endorsement of the two Republican candidates is an endorsement of the Democratic candidate, a five-term incumbent. When Republicans refuse to support Republican candidates for public office, Democratic candidates win.

Allow me to be a prophet and predict the unfortunate re-election of President Barack Obama — not because the president has done a great job, but because, like in 2008, many Republicans do not support one of their own.

Once again, when Republicans do not endorse fellow Republicans, Democrats win!
