Nov. 10

What: The College of the Canyons will dedicate the new Veterans Garden at the Canyon Country Campus at 1:30 p.m. The garden will feature red, white and blue varietals and recognize the service of veterans who are now fulfilling their educational dreams at College of the Canyons. The event is open to everyone.

Nov. 11
What: VFW Post 6885 will commemorate Veterans Day with a breakfast at 8 a.m., a flag raising ceremony at 11:11 a.m., and a barbecue lunch at noon. John Hiskett, VFW Post 6885 commander, is scheduled to speak at the event and explosive-ordnance-disposal equipment will be on display. Activities are free and open to all veterans.

What: The city of Santa Clarita will host a Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. The event is open to all, free of charge and scheduled to feature service members and their families, musical performances and a flag ceremony.

Nov. 13

What: The Elks Lodge will host a breakfast for veterans at its Canyon Country lodge from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. Donations are encouraged and will go to the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles.
