Three Vehicles Vandalized on Snapdragon Place
Three separate reports of vehicle burglary were filed with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on Sunday. All three incidents occurred on Snapdragon Place in Canyon Country, and all three appear related based upon damage to each vehicle.

Two incidents were reported between 9:15 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. The third incident apparently occurred a few hours earlier, between 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday.

In the earlier incident, a stereo system was stolen, both front windows were forced open by the suspect, and the left front door armrest was torn off. The estimated cost of damage was $500.

The second and third incidents both had scratches on the door, possibly due to "keying," and minor damage inside the vehicles. On vehicle had $200 in damage, while the other one had $300.

Palmdale Flyer Service to be Introduced
County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich will unveil a new dedicated express bus service - called the Palmdale Flyer - at the Antelope Valley Board of Trade Outlook Conference. The announcement will be made at 10 a.m. on Feb. 29 at the Poppy Pavilion of the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

Fashioned after the successful LAX "FlyAway" service administered by Los Angeles World Airports, the Palmdale Flyer will connect Los Angeles/Palmdale Airport with the Via Princessa Metrolink Station and Van Nuys Metrolink Terminal.

"L.A./Palmdale Airport is the future economic hub of the high desert in the heart of the fastest-growing area in California and will generate future development, interstate commerce, job creation and an estimated $65 million in economic benefit to the community," said Antonovich. "A dedicated bus service will be an additional transportation alternative for air travelers of L.A./Palmdale Airport to avoid the long check-in lines and traffic congestion of LAX."
