The L.A. County District Attorney's office added two more charges against alleged rapist Adrian Arriano during his arraignment Thursday, a court official said.

Arriano is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 5.

Arriano now faces one count of forcible rape and one count of penetration with a foreign object to go with the 27 previous charges, according to a court official at San Fernando Superior Court.

Arriano is accused of a series of 2007 knife-point sexual assaults in Canyon Country. He was identified by Erin O'Brien after he allegedly broke into her apartment and allegedly tried to assault her.

The composite sketch based on O'Brien's description helped nab Arriano after he allegedly tried to climb into a second-floor condominium in Newhall on Sept. 10, 2007.

Arriano was arraigned Oct. 11, 2007, and charged with one count of attempted murder, nine counts of forcible rape, four counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, three counts of sodomy, three counts of forced oral copulation, four counts of burglary, one count of false imprisonment by violence, one count of residential robbery and one count of assault to commit a felony during a burglary.

He pleaded not guilty.

The United States Immigration and Naturalization Service placed a deportation hold on Arriano. He is a two-time deportee. INS will deport Arriano a third time regardless of the rape case outcome, said Lori Haley, INS spokeswoman.
