Three men and one teenager from Palmdale are in custody after leading sheriff's deputies on a chase up Highway 14 into the Palmdale area.

The four suspects were arrested Friday in connection with reports of burglaries in Canyon Country and Newhall.

Justin Culver, 18, Davion Thornton, 18, and an 16-year-old boy, whose name was not released, were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on felony burglary charges. Culver and Thornton are each being held in lieu of $50,000 bail pending future court proceedings.

The boy was later transported to Sylmar Juvenile Hall for housing pending future court proceedings.
Brennen Barnes, 18, who was later arrested in Palmdale, was booked at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station on felony burglary charges where he is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail pending future court proceedings.

Deputies were notified of the alleged burglaries when a Canyon Country resident called the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station around 12:18 p.m. Friday, after reportedly seeing the four suspects carry several items from homes in the 14000 block of Raquel Lane in Canyon Country.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a ransacked house and, according to a sheriff's report, the suspects had already fled towards Highway 14.

After broadcasting the information to all assisting law enforcement agencies, California Highway Patrol officers reportedly found the suspects driving northbound on Highway 14 near Santiago Road.

When the suspects failed to pull over, a pursuit ensued and continued into the Palmdale area, according to the report.

At that point, deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff's Station reportedly became involved in the pursuit after the suspects' vehicle crashed into a light standard near East Avenue R-8 and 15th Street East.

According to the SCV Sheriff's Station, two suspects were immediately apprehended while the other two fled on foot into an adjacent neighborhood.

After containing the area, deputies were able to find and arrest a third suspect.|

The fourth was identified and later arrested by deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff's Station.

Inside the car, deputies reportedly found nearly $7,000 worth of suspected stolen property including five firearms, a television, jewelry, personal items and other electronics that were reportedly taken from at least two homes in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Several of the recovered items were also linked to a second burglary that occurred earlier in the day on Friday in the 26000 block of Fairgate Avenue in Newhall.

Much of the recovered stolen property has already been returned to its owners and all four suspects now face potential felony criminal charges, according to the local sheriff's station.
