Splash and Dash Egg Hunt, 10-11 a.m., Santa Clarita Aquatic Center Waterslide Pool, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita. Bring your little ones to collect eggs with prizes in the Waterslide Pool. After you make a splash stay to play in the heated water. A parent must accompany all children. Saturday, April 14

Los Angeles County Household Harardous Waste (HHW) Roundup 9: a.m.-3 p.m. at College of the Canyons South Parking Lot, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia. Operated by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works and the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. This one-day, drive-through HHW collection event for residents to drop off their household hazardous waste. There is a transportation limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip. Join Joel Cox, 2012 Walk of Western Stars honoree and Oscar-winning film editor of “Unforgiven and who has worked on the Western classics “The Outlaw Josey Wales,” “Pale Rider” and “The Wild Bunch” for an inter-active Q&A discussion of his career in the film industry working with Clint Eastwood and Sam Peckinpah. A wine reception will precede the event, and proceeds will benefit The Cinema Program and the International Film Festival at College of the Canyons. Sunday, April 22

The Knights of Columbus host an Italian dinner 4-7 p.m. Sunday, April 22 in Parish Hall at St. Clare Catholic Church, 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country. On the menu is chicken parmesan, spaghetti, salad and rolls. Costs $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children (no chicken). Wine, beer, soft drinks and dessert available for an additional charch. Castaic Lions Club  scholarship deadline

The Castaic Lions Charity Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be offering the Lion Walt James Scholarship. To be eligible for the Lion Walt James Scholarship students must be a resident of Castaic or Val Verde, and be a graduating senior in 2012. Special exhibit at Hart Museum

The William S. Hart Museum will host an exhibit featuring objects in the Natural History Museum and Hart Museum relevant to two Academy Award Best Picture nominees, “Hugo” and “The Artist,” through June 3. Learn about the costumes, film props, equipment and historical artifacts used in both films.
