Six people were treated for a range of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

At least one of the six was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for undisclosed injuries, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said Sunday.

At about 4:30 p.m., a vehicle southbound on Interstate 5 left the roadway just south of the Whitaker Peak Fire Road, about three miles north of Templin Highway, said fire department supervisor Clyde Taylor.

"It was a single vehicle incident where the vehicle ended up 20 feet from the road," she said. "There were six patients with mild to minor injuries, but at least one of them was taken to hospital with trauma."

At about 5:10 p.m., paramedics arrived in a helicopter and transported at least one of the injured people by air to hospital, a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol confirmed.
