Fire threat still remains low

A high-wind advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

The strongest winds are in the passes and canyons, with sustained wind speeds between 25 and 35 mph, and gusts up to 50 mph, said Stuart Seto, weather specialist.

"The winds will start to diminish early this afternoon," he said.

There is no red flag warning associated with the wind advisory because humidity levels are not low enough, Seto said.
