The 100 gallons of gas has an estimated value of $400. The theft occurred on Constellation Road in Valencia.

Public intoxication

A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 23-year-old man at Valencia Boulevard and Goldcrest Drive after pulling him over for having an excessively loud customized muffler on his car, a sheriff’s report said.

The deputy smelled marijuana and alcohol coming from the car when he pulled the suspect over.

When the deputy told the man he was under arrest, he told the deputy to not call or disturb his mother who lived nearby.

The suspect refused to give the deputy her phone number but did give his father’s number.

The deputy called the number but no one answered.

The suspect was found to be on parole and driving on a suspended license.
