CHICAGO (AP) — A former neighbor who was among those who found Drew Peterson's third wife dead in her bathtub says he was immediately suspicious.

Thomas Pontarelli testified Wednesday that the bathtub where he, his wife and others found Kathleen Savio's body in 2004 was in was dry and pristine, with no water mark. He says there was no towel in the room or any sign of Savio's clothes.

Prosecutors contend the former Bolingbrook officer killed Savio and tried to make it look like an accident.

Peterson was charged in Savio's death after the 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. He's suspected in her disappearance but hasn't been charged.

Pontarelli's wife testified Tuesday that she screamed and threw herself on the ground when she saw Savio's body.
