Third Thursdays

The city of Santa Clarita hosts a themed party 7-11 p.m. every third Thursday of the month, on Main Street in Newhall. Free. Enjoy live music and entertainment, art displays, food trucks and more. Info: 661-250-3787 or

Saturday, Aug. 11

“Silents Under the Stars” event, will be held 6 p.m. Saturday at at William S. Hart Park in Newhall. The featured silent film is a rare William S. Hart film called “The Whistle.” It is one of Hart’s hard-to-find non-Western movies.  

In addition, there will be a Bill Hart Western short. The event includes dinner, a Western Theme Silent Auction, and Western and Bluegrass music by the “All Digital String Band.”

Circle of Hope’s 11th Annual Vine 2 Wine Classic, 6:30-10 p.m. at city of Santa Clarita’s Sports Complex, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita. Cost: $65 in advance, $75 at the door. Moonlight at the Ranch VI: Creatures of the Night, a  fundraiser to support the Santa Paula Police & Fire Foundation and Chamber of Commerce will be held 6 p.m. Sept. 22. The costume-friendly event will be held at historic Limoneira Ranch on Cummings Road, in Santa Paula. More than 40 regional restaurants will offer tastings, dancing and entertainment. “Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” at the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s fifth annual The Wine Affair. The event will be held 2-6 p.m. Oct. 21, at Valencia Town Center. Monthly music in Newhall’s Hart park

County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Hart Park will present music in the park monthly on Saturdays.
