Dick and Betty Crawford celebrate 66th wedding anniversary

Newhall residents Dick and Betty Crawford celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on Feb. 28.

High school sweethearts, they were married at Wee Kirk O' the Heather Church, at Forest Lawn, in 1942. In 1943 they built their home in Burbank. In 1944 Dick joined the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific for four years. In 1980 they settled in Friendly Valley, where they enjoy lawn bowling and take many trips with the Friendly Valley Vacation Club.

They also belong to the Friendly Valley Methodist Church.

The Crawfords have two sons, Dick, who lives in Canyon Country, and Bob, who lives in Utah. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
