COC is hosting an orientation for its Fast Track Institute, which is a career training and job placement program geared toward high school graduates, veterans or anyone else who is under- or unemployed, according to school officials.

Those interested in learning more about this program are invited to attend a free daylong Fast Track orientation event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, in the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, located on the college’s Valencia campus, at the University Center Drive entrance.

The orientation will offer information about the Fast Track programs for computer-controlled machinery and manufacturing.

Those who are interested in the program, which is free, may stay after the presentation to begin the application process, according to COC officials.

For information about the institute, call 362-5657.
