Moonlight at the Ranch VI: Creatures of the Night, a  fundraiser to support the Santa Paula Police & Fire Foundation and Chamber of Commerce will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 .Honorary Co-Chairs: Bela Lugosi (Count Dracula) and Boris Karloff (Frankenstein) represented by special guests: Bela Lugosi Jr. and Sara Karloff. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department hosts its annual Fun in the Sun Chili Cook-off with games, food and live music 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Jack Bones Equestrian Center, 26983 Tapia Canyon Road, Castaic. “Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds” at the Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s fifth annual The Wine Affair. The event will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at Valencia Town Center. Tickets are $50 in advance; $60 one week prior to the event. Monthly music in Newhall’s Hart park
County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Hart Park will present music in the park monthly on Saturdays beginning June 16. Hart High School Cheer Spirit Day
 The award winning Hart High School Cheerleaders will host their annual Spirit Day event 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Hart High School 24825 N. Newhall Ave., Newhall, in the large gym. Treat your aspiring cheerleader ages 5-12 to a day of learning the fundamentals of cheerleading. ‘Pride in the Lake Day’ at Castaic Lake
The Friends of Castaic Lake will hold a “Pride in the Lake Day” the second Saturday of every month (this month Sept. 8). Angeles Forest invasive plant cleanup
Help pull invasive plants that are preventing native plant recovery in the Station Fire burn area and get the Angeles National Forest back in shape, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 and 23, Oct. 14 and 28 and Nov. 11.
