Time running out on Castaic high comment period

Thursday is the last day to submit a public comment on the Hart district’s most recent proposal for a high school in Castaic.

The draft environmental impact report, which details the plan for a 2,600-student high school in Castaic, has a 45-day period for community feedback, which is winding up Thursday.

Officials with The Planning Group, which prepared the report, said they planned to respond to all feedback in the final version of the report. The final version goes to the William S. Hart Union High School District board for final consideration.

Residents of the Castaic area have waited more than 10 years for a high school.

Those who would like to comment on the draft EIR may mail or drop off correspondence to: Wm. S. Hart Union High School District, Attn: Tom Cole, 21515 Centre Pointe Pkwy., Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
