Business capital expo in SCV on Saturday

Holding its 11th annual “Where’s the Money” expo for the first time in Santa Clarita, the Valley Economic Development Corporation has 500 business owners and 25 different banks registered for the event Saturday, Sept. 22.

The business capital expo, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Valencia from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes a business expo and a loan pavilion, where business owners can schedule a one-on-one with an expert loan consultant to discuss their financing needs in a more private setting. Finance officers and banks will be hand to discuss lending a business the money it needs.

There are also workshops focusing on procurement and contracts, business loans, unconventional financing, starting a small business, credit repair and experience and advice from real entrepreneurs.

The $10 expo entrance fee, includes lunch featuring speakers Robert Barragan, VEDC’s president, Marla Clemow of Wells Fargo, Victor Parker of the U.S. Mall Business Administration, Jonas Peterson with the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corp. Cynthia Kawa with New Horizons is the keynote speaker.
