Town Center Art Space (February)
Torched Whimsical Welding
Please join the City of Santa Clarita's Arts and Events Office and the Westfield Valencia Town Center on Thursday, February 5, 2009, from 7 to 9 pm at Sisley Italian Restaurant for a reception celebrating the debut exhibit at the Town Center Art Space. Torched Whimsical Welding features 5 works by local artist Dianne Foderaro. Dianne has a great passion for metal and the way fire allows it to merge into new shapes, and she loves to breathe new life into discarded objects. Come meet the artist, talk to others that are excited about art, and enjoy light appetizers on the patio at Sisley Italian Restaurant, a no host bar will be available.

Excursion to SkateLab (February 7)
The skate park is under construction, awaiting the highly anticipated 40,000 square feet flow course, with two bowls, banks, grind ledges, and a half-pipe. While under construction, here is a favorable alternative, SkateLab Excursions, a popular indoor skating facility in Simi Valley. Amgen Tour of California (February 21)
Westfield Valencia Town Center
The AMGEN Tour of California will bring the drama and excitement of a professional bicycle stage race to the California coast. Lance Armstrong and the world's top professional teams will compete over an eight-day, 700-mile race on a route that includes the California redwoods, wine country and the Pacific Coast. The Kites of Kyushu (December 15 - February 28)
On view at City Hall, First Floor Gallery
The Kites of Kyushu exhibition, from Japan's southernmost island, show a variety of mythological warrior heroes, divine beings and mythical beasts. The kites are made from traditional materials, paper and bamboo, and reflect a refinement of craft found in many Japanese traditions. Although the different forms and functions of specific kites may vary, what remains consistent is the artistry with which they are crafted. Kites of Kyushu has been provided by the Drachen Foundation, which is presented in conjunction with the College of the Canyons first annual book of the year celebration and the performance of "The Kite Runner" at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on Sunday, February 22, 2009.

Camp Clarita Registration
Camp Clarita is a camp experience that provides recreational and creative opportunities for the youth of Santa Clarita.
