If your last date hated graphic novels, or if he thought Yaoi was "wowie", if he thinks it's ‘Josh' Wedon, or she called them ‘dolls', maybe you're just not meeting the right kind of people. Where is the average geek to go, to perhaps, find true love? Well, a comic book shop, of course!

The Eisner award winning Brave New World Comics, Santa Clarita's premier pop culture super store, is proud to announce an event of epic proportions.

Quite possibly the perfect opportunity for the geeks of the world to unite, SINGLES NIGHT! Friday, February 6th, a mere eight days prior to the love-fest known as Valentine's Day that the socially adept are so keen on, Brave New World invites the nerds, gamers, hackers, coders, theater geeks, band geeks, computer geeks, or just your run of the mill, socially stunted, regular old geeks of the world (and those who love them) to meet, mingle, and who knows, maybe even make the connection that you've been looking for your whole life: someone that really understands you.

This event, one in a long line of geek themed parties hosted by local landmark Brave New World, is being held in conjunction with Geek Monthly Magazine,, and Real Soda. Geek Monthly is a popular magazine dedicated to all the things that geeks obsess about.

"Geek Monthly is damn proud to sponsor Brave New World's Singles Night--and that's not just the Soma talking!", exclaimed Jeff Bond, Editor-in-chief of Geek Monthly Magazine.

From toys, comic books, games, anime, and DVDs, to what's new in science and technology, even the personalities behind our geek driven culture, Geek Monthly is the finest source of ‘geek knowledge' available, and will have representatives on hand to pass out magazines, mugs, t-shirts, and other geek-y goodies.

"Who better to co-host this event?", mused Atom! Freeman, BNW proprietor of extraordinary punctuation. "If I wasn't already a happily married geek, you know I'd be there. It's a great opportunity for like-minded individuals to get together, in a totally non-threatening environment."., a dating site where ‘gray matters', is the most popular geek dating website around, for geeks, those who love them, and even geeks who just want to be friends with like minded individuals.

In addition to the Geek socializing, the event will feature live music, from local bands such as The Edge of Man, games, prizes, raffles, and fun for everyone. The event is open to the public, and you don't have to be single to attend. "Couples should totally come! We're married, and we'll be there!", reminds Portlyn, the better half of the award winning Brave New World team. "Single, looking, married, or just wanting to have a fun night full of amazing music, all are welcome."
