Supervisors approve study of additional online protests for Clean Water, Clean Beaches

Members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to study additional ways for county property owners to register electronic protests against the proposed storm water cleanup fee known as the Clean Water, Clean Beaches measure.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich submitted the motion, which directs county staff to examine a way to develop a system that would allow property owners to register an official protest against the measure using an electronic signature, their property tax personal identification number and the assessor’s number of their land parcel.
