SACRAMENTO - Today Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, announced the launch of his new website, which can be found at

The new site features embedded audio and video clips, news and press release archives, and a more user-friendly navigation system.

"Communication is an important aspect of serving my constituents, and this new website provides a number of tools to help me communicate more effectively and efficiently with people in my district," Smyth said. "I'm able to provide updates about what is happening in Sacramento, and it gives my constituents an opportunity to share their thoughts with me directly."

Among other items on the site is a homepage banner featuring a photo of Six Flags Magic Mountain, which was taken by local artist Gary Choppè.

Currently, the homepage features a video of Smyth discussing the state budget and the need for structural reforms. Smyth said that he plans to provide regular video updates on the homepage, on a wide range of topics.

"Right now, people are aware of what is happening in the Legislature because of the budget situation. That awareness shouldn't disappear once the budget is solved," Smyth said. "My goal is to use this website to give my constituents a unique insight into the issues that we confront every year in Sacramento."
