Santa Clarita City Council members gave final approval Tuesday to a project that will offer low-cost housing to veterans of the United States military and their families.

The project, “Habitat for Heroes,” will include 87 residential units that will be constructed just south of the intersection of Centre Pointe Parkway and Golden Triangle Road near Bowman High School.

The units will be offered at below-market prices for veterans.

The project is sponsored by Habitat for Humanity in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
