LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are investigating a fire that roared through a fabric company in downtown Los Angeles.

It took more than 100 firefighters about 90 minutes to control the blaze, which began shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say at one point firefighters were forced to battle the blaze from outside the building after flames shot through the roof of the two-story structure.

Damage was extensive but no injuries are reported.

Arson investigators have been called in to determine what sparked the blaze.
