Community members and groups are invited to a second public meeting on Wednesday to share their ideas and suggestions on the master plan for the 60-acre Rivendale Park and Open Space.

The first public meeting on master planning for Rivendale was held in March. Initial conceptual plans were developed based in part on community input gathered then.

“This plan is reflective of the community’s desires, and we want to continue to receive resident feedback so that the plan will benefit our city and its recreational, cultural, arts and educational needs,” said Mayor Bob Kellar.

The city acquired the 60-acre Rivendale property, which is in Towsley Canyon, in 1995. The site is made up of three parcels that were annexed into the city in 2003.

The meeting is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. For more information on the Rivendale Park community workshop, visit or contact (661) 286-4129.
