This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Attempt Residential Burglary, (1) Commercial Burglary, (1) Attempt Grand Theft Auto, (1) Grand Theft, (1) Petty Theft and (3) Incidents of Shoplifting.

An aggravated assault occurred on Tuesday, 05/07/13, in the wash area behind Santa Clara Street. A transient sleeping in an encampment assaulted three other transients with a knife after an argument. The suspect was arrested without incident.

There was an attempt residential burglary in the 17300 block of Mount Stephen Avenue between Sunday, 05/05/13, to Friday, 05/10/13. The victim noticed fresh pry marks on both her screen door and sliding glass door. It was determined that entry was never made into the residence. Please remember to lock all doors and windows when leaving for the day. I know that with the high temperatures it is tempting to leave a window open to relieve the temperature when you get home. This leaves a point of entry for criminals looking to burglarize your home.

There was a commercial burglary in the 19900 block of Soledad Canyon Road around midnight, Wednesday, 05/08/13. Deputies responded to the scene and contacted a witness who stated he observed two males exiting the business and leave in a vehicle. Responding deputies located the vehicle a short distance away. Miscellaneous burglary tools and stolen property were located in the suspect’s vehicle. Both males were arrested without incident.

Deputies working in the Canyon Country West area made several arrests last week. Arrests included charges of narcotics, grand theft, burglary, and assault.

If you have any questions about the above mentioned crimes please call or email me.
