Faulkner (Ala.) wins NAIA World Series

Team that handed The Master's College first defeat wins title

Faulkner University defeated Lewis-Clark State on Thursday 11-4 to claim the NAIA World Series championship in Lewiston, Idaho on Thursday night.

Faulkner was the team that handed The Master’s College its first loss in the World Series with a 7-6 win on Monday.

Lewis-Clark State (45-15) knocked the Mustangs out of the tournament the next day with a 3-2 come-from-behind victory.

No. 1 seeded Faulkner (56-11) scored six runs in the second inning and right fielder David Bishop went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs.

This is the school’s first national title.
