Santa Clarita: County agrees to help city monitor river bacteria

Los Angeles County supervisors voted Tuesday to enter into an agreement with the city of Santa Clarita to prepare a water bacteria monitoring plan for the Santa Clara River.

The anticipated total cost of the project is not anticipated to exceed $59,668, but the cost to the county will not exceed $39,237, according to board documents.

Such a water quality monitoring plan is required by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, according to county documents.
