SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) — A 23-year-old man has been arrested in the killing of a Lake Tahoe man in Phoenix last July.

Vroury Manoukian is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Matthew McMaster, who was born and raised on Tahoe's south shore.

Police say the two lived together at a home where the killing occurred. Manoukian is accused of later setting the body on fire and disposing it in the desert.

McMaster's burned body was found tied to the remains of a love seat and other furniture items on July 28.

An autopsy determined the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head.

The Tahoe Daily Tribune reports McMaster moved to Arizona in April 2012 to attend motorcycle mechanic school and planned to return home after finishing.
