Sheriff’s Department graduates 126 from VIDA program

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Assistant Sheriff Cecil Rhambo awarded diplomas to 126 teenagers, some of whom are Santa Clarita Valley residents, who completed the Vital Intervention and Directional Alternatives (VIDA) Program.

Participants in the program are recommended by juvenile courts, the Probation Department, schools, families, Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, foster homes, patrol deputies and station detectives.

Awarding diplomas to the graduates, Rhambo stated, “I am extremely proud of these young men and women for displaying the dedication it takes to complete this training program.”

The ceremony was held June 8 at Belvedere Middle School in East Los Angeles,
