What do you think of the proposal for a Walmart Neighborhood Market store at the Valencia Town Center?

We don't need it, especially in the mall. There are 3 Walmarts (and a Sam's Club) within a 5 mile radius of the mall, plus 4 grocery stores across the street from the mall (Whole Foods, Sprouts, Pavillions, Target). Not only would it cause unwanted congestion in the parking lot but also on the surrounding streets which is already a problem. If there were to be any type of "grocery" store at the mall, if anything it should be a Trader Joe's or smaller store for specialty items such as all gourmet or hard to find spices/items, etc. Otherwise... NO WALMART at the mall... please

You have got to be kidding! What is this city thinking? Even to kick an idea around like this one is crazy!
If this happens I will take my money and shopping elsewhere.

Dont worry Santa Barbera...Oh I mean Santa Clarits will find a way to get Wal-mart in. Its all about the money folks.
Santa Clarita has to find a way to pay for more STOP LIGHTS and time them ever so stupidly. God this city was so nice back in the day.

The planning department is not from around here! They must be from Barstow!
But then again this city is on the verge of bankrupt! They need to do this silly stuff to borrow from Peter to pay Paul....

No, Santa Clarita is not on the verge of going bankrupt. In fact it is doing very well unlike many cities in CA. The smarts are looking closely at this. If Walmart wants another store, just let them locate in an area that fits. The mall is not that area.

Besides not being good for the mall.Walmart would have you believe that they respect the enviroment but they dont. You should see what they throw into the trash through there claims area or the appearence of the back of there stores

We certainly DON'T need a Walmart in the mall. . . . we DON'T need another Walmart ANYWHERE in SCV. We have ENOUGH Walmarts! Have you been to a Walmart lately? . . . they're a mess! Very poorly stocked, stuff laying all over the floor, long lines, no greeter at the door anymore.

Lets have a Trader Joes in Canyon Country.
