Should all City of Santa Clarita council members be paid the same regardless of when they are elected to office?

Ranger: April 21, 2013 1:36 p.m.

You mean they aren't? What city council members get paid more and how did all that get started? If that's the way it is, sounds like a grease to get on board to me. Maybe you need to do an article on this.

TimBen Boydston is the one getting the smaller paycheck. . . and he works very hard digging up some of the dirt that's been swept under the rug over the years. I say give him a raise and also he deserves more respect from the other council members than what he's getting. I agree with Ranger's comment - Signal needs to do an article on this situation.

How long would this dig last if a minority gets elected to city council?

The comment about how long this would last if a minority getting elected is simply stupid. Stop trying to stir the pot with issues that don't exist.

Actually this comment might not be so stupid. Districting to insure minority representation is common in many communities for city council seats. If that were the case here, equal pay for all seats would probably be a slam dunk.

Why are these useless people getting paid?
Most of them are on some hook Im sure of it.
