Should the government have the right to look at US customer records of phone companies?

JimmyStewart: June 12, 2013 2:22 p.m.

I voted "Yes" but only because there is no other option. It shouldn't be that the government can look at anyone's phone records but if there is a reason to look because of terrorism or criminal activity they should be able to look.

Records (metadata) aren't content nor are they owned by individual citizens. Content review requires probable cause and a warrant.

If you're not doing anything wrong why would you care if the government looks at your phone record?

Because that's the road to tyranny, Marilyn.
