If airlines increase ability to use smart phones on commercial flights, what would be acceptable to you?

By definition, a smart phone is internet capable. Therefore, if it has a network connection, it can use any internet connected application, including web browsing. It's not restricted to "texting or email".

Why should anyone care if another person texts or e-mails, as long as their phone is on silent, and as long as using the phone to do these things don't affect the safety of the plane?

Why are some people always trying to dictate how others want to live?

Last thing I want on a plane is some rude bozo next to me yelling into their phone trying to be heard. Text & e-mail are fine, just NO phone calls.
