It's been said that "there are no stupid questions". This is an excellent example of why that is not true. In so few words this question has so many unsupported postulates. One unpacked it has so many examples of "confirmation bias" that it is impossible to answer rationally.

POOR POLL

We have no chloride problem.
We have a chloride scam.

The water we get from Castaic Lake Water agency exceeds the limit place on our wastewater.

The scam will fine us for turning our tapwater on and letting it go down the drain.

The Castaic Lake Water Agency releases this water from the upper lake to the lower lake. This lower lake water then feeds Castaic creek, and eventually the river.
Is Castaic Lake Water Agency fined for releasing excess chloride?
NO THEY ARE NOT. ITS A SCAM.
