Do the benefits of living in SoCal outweigh the threats of nature?

Better question: Do the benefits of living in SoCal outweigh the threats of the state legislature?

It's just TOO hot here about 6 months out of the year. It's miserable. We have our a/c running 24/7 for months at a time, literally. We haven't shut our a/c off one time in at least 6 weeks now and I'm sure we won't for at least another 6 weeks. It's ridiculous. Our air quality (and water in SCV) is absolutely abysmal. The traffic is terrible, you can't even drive across town. No amount of bike lanes, buses or trains will ever change that. I sure as hell will never use any of them and neither will 99% of the population.

The laws and taxes here and uber liberal nonsense have made So Cal just a terrible place to live. Liberals and illegal immigrants have literally destroyed what was once the greatest state in the union. I very much look forward to moving somewhere coastal, either in No Cal or north of there, like coastal Oregon or Washington, but wherever it is, it's gonna be a hell of a lot cooler and cleaner than it is here. Ugh!
