Family owned for 35 years, CBC Cleaning and Restoration has offered the Santa Clarita Valley’s residential and commercial homeowners a slew of services to help restore and maintain flooring of all types.

Originally called Carpet Beauty Care, owners Gordon and Debbie Glasnow expanded their business to offer a wide variety of flooring care.

“We needed to become more sophisticated,” Debbie Glasnow explained. “We needed to become general contractors, get our general contracting license and certification in water damage, specifically. Then we became CBC Cleaning and Restoration, and some of our customers stayed with us throughout the years.”

As the business evolved and grew throughout the years, the Glasnows required extensive education of their staff to help provide quality services.

“We’re really big on education and in-service,” she said. “They have weekly education in-services, and we’ve certified all of our staff in carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, hard surface cleaning and water damage. It’s a very big emphasis in our company.”

Having a great team of employees helped to ignite loyalty within the company.

“Some of our staff have been with us 26, 23, and 13 years,” Debbie Glasnow said. “Our employees have been with us many years, and have lived and raised their families in our community.”

With loyalty established, the work environment resembles that of a large family, she said.

“It’s become a family as we’ve grown as a business,” Debbie Glasnow said. “We keep our people a long time.”
Having a family environment is so important for CBC Cleaning and Restoration, and Debbie Glasnow explained that they even cook meals for the staff for important meetings.

“You know, you spend almost as many hours at work with your fellow employees that you do with your families,” she said.

However, an important goal for the company is to help the community by providing their services and helping out local nonprofit organizations.

“We try to contribute to the community,” she said. “We support many of the organizations by donating. That’s also been an important factor for our company.”

With the economy recovering from financial stress, CBC Cleaning and Restoration works to help families get their homes cleaned and restored.

“Our goal, really, is to be a one-stop shop,” Debbie Glasnow said. “People can call us for flooring repair, cleaning of flooring upholstery, water damage, fire damage and mold remediation. So we’re kind of an all-encompassing company, not just carpet cleaners.”

The company also provides services for stone, tile and other hard surface flooring.

“We do a lot of hard surface restoration,” Debbie Glasnow said. “We do beautiful travertine, natural stone floors. We can restore the flooring.”

And the company works with all major insurances to provide services to residential and commercial homeowners.
“It’s always been our motto that honesty and integrity aren’t expensive - they’re priceless,” she said.

In order to assure quality work, the company asks for customer feedback by having them fill out a report card telling them if their services were good or if they need to improve.

“We ultimately want our customers forever. And I won’t say we’re perfect, but we certainly try to be,” Debbie Glasnow said. “If we aren’t, we’ll make sure that whatever issue a customer may have we will always be there to fix it.”
